SEEK Learning

From July 2015 to December 2016 I worked in the marketing communications team at SEEK Learning. SEEK Learning is an online media company that connects students to over 5,700 courses from Australia‚Äôs leading universities and registered training organizations.

 

I was responsible for concepting, writing and maintaining all outbound email communications using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Experian, and SAP (internal CMS). This was a content marketing and an e-commerce role. I wrote sales emails designed to attract new business, informational emails to guide potential and eventual clients through the purchasing process, and emails designed to reengage people who had previously submitted a lead on the SEEK Learning website.

I was responsible for rewriting all of SEEK Learning's outbound marketing emails to bring them into compliance with newly released legislation by the Australian Federal Government. I worked closely with the SEEK Learning legal counsel and with an external contractor who was hired to assist me with the project. 


These are examples of instructional emails that were sent to prospective students by members of the SEEK Learning sales team. The email on the left advises prospective students on how to apply for a certified copy of their Year 12 Certificate. The email on the right was used when a SEEK Learning sales consultant had made contact via phone with a person that had made an enquiry on the SEEK Learning website. I personally wrote and coded over 200 different versions of this email, as well as another 200 versions for use when a sales consultant was unable to make contact with a person via phone. The emails were all housed in the companies CMS.

In 2016 I worked on an Agile project to implement the Experian marketing suite to handle all of SEEK Learning's outbound email communications.

 

The emails below were sent to people who had submitted an enquiry via the SEEK Learning website but did not purchase a course. I wrote the copy and used data points to populate the course information and industry insights so that the person received an email related to the industry that they had expressed an interest in studying.

I also assisted the social media team by writing Facebook and Twitter posts, and the content team by writing blog posts for the SEEK Learning website.
